Launch ToolAbout This Star Citizen Loadout Tool
Plan your fleet properly instead of guessing. The builder covers 198 flyable ships with statistics read straight from the game’s own files, so you can see what a fit really does before you spend hard earned aUEC on it. Star Citizen 4.10 ship stats, PTU ship stats, component power triage and shots to breach door counts all come from the current patch rather than a community spreadsheet.
DPS, Time to Kill and Damage Falloff
Put laser repeaters, ballistic cannons and distortion weapons next to each other, then watch the tool run a real engagement against a chosen target’s shields, armor and hull. Time to kill accounts for damage falloff. Once a weapon empties its capacitor or hits its overheat window it drops to sustained output, so a gun that cannot hold its headline burst DPS never gets credit for it. Deflection thresholds, armor damage reduction and penetrating DPS sit alongside the result.
New to Fitting? Plan Here, Then Fit In Game
If you have never changed a component before, this is the step that comes before you spend anything. Pick your hull, try the guns you are curious about, check that your power plant and cooler can carry them, and note the shops that stock each part. Then in game: buy the components, leave the ship stored at that location, open your mobiGlas Vehicles tab, swap the hardpoints in the loadout manager and save. Last of all, insure the loadout. An uninsured claim hands your ship back with its stock guns and no refund for the ones you bought.
Advanced Component Optimization
Stop guessing whether your power plant can handle a new weapon loadout. The builder tracks power draw, cooling headroom, quantum drive travel times and shield regeneration as you fit each part, so you can balance military, civilian, stealth and industrial components for PvE bounty hunting or PvP dogfighting. Signature figures move with your fit too, so a stealth build can be checked on EM, IR and cross section rather than assumed.
Power Triage: Spend Your Pips
Most ships cannot run everything at maximum, and the builder says so out loud. Component power triage reads each hull’s real pip budget from the game files, then lets you set every component’s power level individually or shut a whole bank down, exactly as you would in the ship’s MFD. Each component declares the minimum it needs to run and what it gives you at each step above that, so the trade is visible. A Gladius, for example, wants 21 pips across its throttleable components against a 16 pip plant, which means every headline figure on the ship is a best case you have to buy with pips taken from somewhere else.
Hull Layout, Kill HP and the Shots to Breach Door Calculator
Every hull breaks down into its real part tree, so you can see which components actually have to be destroyed to kill a ship instead of reading one lump hull HP number. The layout view also lists each ship’s ways aboard, meaning ramps, airlocks, docking collars and personnel lifts, with the health of every exterior door. That turns boarding into simple math: divide door health by your alpha to get shots to breach. Most doors unlock when destroyed rather than opening a hole in the hull, and many self repair once, which the tool states plainly.
Flight, Quantum Travel and Refueling
Fit flight blades and see exactly how IFCS modifiers move your SCM speed, boost and rotation rates, with the full thruster spread listed per hull. The quantum planner routes you across real world map coordinates and returns travel time, fuel burn and jump cost. The refueling view covers hydrogen and quantum tank capacity, fittable fuel pods and every transfer nozzle’s real rate, including the across the board changes 4.10 made to refueling speed.
Industrial and Utility Loadouts
Mining heads, salvage scrapers, tractor beams and cargo grid configurations are fully fittable here, not just browsable. Pair a finished mining build with the Mining Material Finder to work out which rocks your head and module combination can actually crack, or check the Blueprint Finder to see what your refined ore is worth as crafted gear.
Ground Vehicles, FPS Weapons and Component Tables
The catalog reaches past ships. Compare covers 19 categories: 198 hulls, 28 ground vehicles, 352 FPS weapons, 164 ship weapons, 328 turrets, 152 missile racks, 77 power plants, 74 coolers, 67 shields, 61 radars, 58 quantum drives, 46 flight blades, 45 missiles, 40 utility heads, 28 mining modules, 11 fuel pods, 7 life support units, 6 salvage modules and 5 jump drives. Each gets its own column set rather than one sparse union table, sortable and switchable between table and chart.
LIVE vs PTU: What Does the Patch Do to My Build?
Flip a single switch to load the PTU dataset instead of LIVE, then run a live patch diff on your own saved build across both sets of Star Citizen PTU ship stats. Instead of a global changelog that says “nothing changed”, you get a per ship answer: this shield gains HP, this rack is gone, this hull’s fuel capacity moved. If the patch does not touch the ship you fly, the tool says so.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I upgrade my ship components in Star Citizen?
Use the Ship Loadout Builder to try weapons, shields, power plants, coolers and quantum drives, so you know you have enough power and cooling before you spend aUEC in game. The builder shows your power draw, cooling load and running total as you fit each part.
How do I actually put new guns on my ship in Star Citizen?
Buy the weapons at a shop that stocks them, then leave the ship stored at that same location instead of spawning it. Open your mobiGlas, go to the Vehicles tab to reach the loadout manager, pick the ship from the dropdown at the top, select the hardpoint you want to change, choose the weapon from your local inventory and save your changes. It is easy to rearrange everything and then walk away without saving. Fitting happens in the loadout manager, not by walking up to the ship.
Do I lose ship components if my ship is destroyed?
If the loadout is not insured, claiming a destroyed ship gives it back with the stock factory loadout and the components you paid for are gone. Insuring the loadout means a claim restores your fitted parts instead, at the cost of a claim fee each time you use it. The sensible order is to plan the build here, buy once, fit it, then insure it.
Why can’t I find a weapon in any shop?
Not every component in the game is sold. Some weapons and components only drop from bunkers, missions, salvage or crafting, so they show up in the fitting list without appearing on any shop terminal. The builder lists known purchase locations and prices where a component has them, so a part with no seller is one you have to go and find.
What are the best weapons for my ship?
It depends on the job. Laser repeaters give sustained fire off your ship’s capacitor, which suits drawn out PvP engagements, while cannons trade rate of fire for much higher alpha per shot and tend to clear PvE targets in fewer trigger pulls. Ballistics bypass shields but burn finite ammunition. Rather than guessing, fit a candidate set and read the time to kill against the hulls you actually fight, or let the optimizer solve for the largest target your ship can kill.
Will a weapon fit my ship’s hardpoint?
The builder only offers weapons your hull’s hardpoints accept, using the same size limits and tag gates the game uses, and it tells you why a part is unavailable instead of quietly hiding it. A size 3 mount will not take a size 4 gun, and some hardpoints are locked to one weapon family whatever the size.
How is time to kill calculated?
The builder simulates your guns against a chosen target’s shields, armor and hull, including deflection thresholds, damage reduction and penetrating DPS. Weapons drop from burst to sustained output once their capacitor or heat window runs out, so long fights are modeled at the damage a loadout can really maintain.
Can I compare the LIVE and PTU patches?
Yes. A LIVE and PTU switch swaps the whole dataset, and the build diff shows what the incoming patch changes about your specific ship and fitted components instead of a global changelog.
Does the tool show ship entrances and door health?
Yes. The Hull Layout tab lists every hull’s ways aboard, including ramps, airlocks, docking collars, canopies and ladders, marked by whether they can be used in flight or only when landed. Each door carries its own health, so you can work out how many shots it takes to breach. Most exterior doors unlock when destroyed rather than leaving a hole in the hull.
Can I manage power the way the ship’s MFD does?
Yes. The power triage view reads each hull’s real pip budget and lets you set one component’s power level or shut a whole bank down. Every throttleable component declares the minimum it needs to run and the performance it gives at each step above that, so you can see what a stealth or maximum shields configuration costs you elsewhere.
Does it cover ground vehicles and FPS weapons?
Yes. Alongside 198 flyable ships the catalog carries 28 ground vehicles and 352 FPS weapons, read from the same game files and comparable in the same sortable tables and charts.
Where can I buy ship components?
The loadout builder gives location data and prices for components, so you can sequence an efficient shopping route across Stanton’s major landing zones and space stations.
Is this loadout builder free to use?
Yes. It is completely free, needs no account, and runs in your browser on desktop and mobile.
Where does the component data come from?
All weapon, shield, power, hull and flight statistics are read straight from Star Citizen’s own game files for the current patch rather than scraped from other sites, so the numbers match what you see in game.
