Star Citizen Tools and Calculators

Free Star Citizen tools built and maintained here, rebuilt from the live game files after every patch. Mining, crafting, ship loadouts, ship comparison, a ship weapon DPS calculator, hauling, fuel and jump range, refuelling contracts, salvage, keybinds and joystick setup, ship release dates and group logistics. Every one runs in the browser with no download and no account.

Tools built by Citizen Starter Guide

Mining and salvage tools

For finding material, decoding signatures, checking what a wreck pays and getting through a facility run.

Crafting, weapons and gear tools

For working out what to craft, what it does to your stats, and what it looks like.

Ship fitting, flight and hauling tools

For fitting a hull, comparing it against another, working out how far it gets, what fits inside it, which contracts stack and how your controls are bound.

Star Citizen Ship Loadout Builder

Fit any hull and see what actually changes. Compare weapons, shields, power plants, coolers and quantum drives, and read the DPS, power draw and capacitor behaviour that comes out of it. Built from the game files rather than guesswork.

> OPEN_LOADOUT_BUILDER

Star Citizen Ship Comparison

Put any two of the 200 hulls side by side and read speed, shields, guns, cargo and quantum range, with the winner marked on every line. For settling whether the ship you are about to buy actually beats the one you already fly.

> OPEN_SHIP_COMPARISON

Star Citizen Fuel and Jump Range Tracker

Work out how far a hull gets on a tank. Compare quantum drives, check jump range between systems and find where you can refuel before committing to a long haul with no way back.

> OPEN_RANGE_TRACKER

Star Citizen Refueling Contract Finder

Find refuelling contracts worth flying to, with the tankers that can take them and what the fuel itself costs you. Shows the margin before you commit rather than after you have burned a tank getting there.

> OPEN_REFUEL_FINDER

What Fits In Star Citizen Ships

Check whether a vehicle fits inside a given hull before you buy either one. Measured against real ship geometry and door openings to create the results.

> OPEN_FIT_CHECKER

Star Citizen Hauling Loop Finder

Stack planetary, stellar and interstellar hauling contracts by finding the ones whose routes overlap, so a single run clears several manifests. Still in development, and usable as it stands.

> OPEN_LOOP_FINDER

Star Citizen Keybind Builder

Set your Star Citizen ship controls up in the browser instead of the in game menu, then load the result with one console command. Keyboard, mouse, HOTAS and dual joystick setups all supported, with ready made HOSAS profiles, live conflict checks and every default keybind read from the live game itself.

> OPEN_KEYBIND_BUILDER

Ship weapon stats and development roadmap

For checking what a gun really does before you fit it, and which ships are still being built.

Tools for playing with other people

For finding a crew, coordinating a contested zone run and keeping a group manifest straight.

Best Star Citizen community tools

The third party tools worth bookmarking. Ship loadouts, commodity prices, trade routes, interdiction planning and navigation, all built and maintained by other people in the community.

Star Citizen Wiki

The community reference for ship stats, item data, locations and patch history. The first place to check when you need a number rather than an opinion.

> OPEN_WIKI

Cstone Item Finder

Searchable database of armor, weapons and components, with the shops that stock them and what they currently cost.

> OPEN_ITEM_FINDER

CCU Game Calculator

Work out the cheapest upgrade path for your fleet using Warbond CCU chains and sale pricing.

> OPEN_CCU_PLANNER

UEX Corp Trade Data

Commodity prices and trade routes across Stanton and Pyro, kept current by player submissions. Essential for haulers.

> OPEN_TRADE_DATA

Erkul DPS Calculator

The long standing ship loadout tool, and the one most guides assume. Compare components and weapons against the current patch.

> OPEN_ERKUL

VerseGuide Navigation

Navigation mapping. Save markers and plot flight paths across the major planetary bodies.

> OPEN_STARMAP

Regolith Mining

Mining work orders and resource tracking, with payout splitting for industrial crews.

> OPEN_WORK_ORDERS

StarJump Fleet Viewer

View your fleet as high resolution renders, and plan upgrades against what you already own.

> OPEN_HANGAR

Star Binder Keybinds

Build and compare control layouts for HOTAS and dual stick setups before you commit them in game.

> OPEN_KEYBINDS

SnarePlan Interdiction

Works out the ideal spots for a quantum interdiction on the major trade routes.

> OPEN_SNARE_PLANNER

Contested Zone Timers

Live executive hangar timers for Pyro. Track reward windows before committing to a PvPvE run.

> OPEN_TIMERS

SPViewer Performance

Ship stats read from the game files. Compare fuel, capacitors and real endurance side by side.

> OPEN_SHIP_STATS

ADI Maps Deck Diagrams

Interactive deck maps for the largest ships. Find turret positions, med bays and lifts before you board.

Star Citizen tools FAQ

What tools do I need to play Star Citizen?

None of them. The game plays perfectly well without any tool at all, and what these save you is time rather than difficulty. A mining trip planned in advance beats scanning rocks at random, a loadout modelled before you buy beats fitting by guesswork, and a blueprint looked up beforehand beats running the wrong contract twice. Start with whichever one matches how you already spend your evenings.

What is the best Star Citizen mining tool?

It depends which half of the job you mean. For finding material, the Mining Material Finder covers 46 locations across Stanton, Pyro and Nyx and decodes RS signatures from a raw HUD reading. For managing work orders and splitting payouts across a crew, Regolith is the long standing community choice. They solve different problems and most serious miners keep both open.

Should I use Erkul or the Ship Loadout Builder?

Both read the same game files, so the underlying numbers usually agree. Erkul has been the community standard for years and most guides assume it. The Ship Loadout Builder is built here and goes further on power draw, capacitor behaviour and sustained damage over time. Try both and keep whichever answers your question faster.

Is there a Star Citizen ship roadmap?

CIG publish a roadmap for their own release schedule, but it does not tell you how far along any individual ship is. The Ship Development Pipeline tool here tracks that separately, showing which ships are in progress and whether each has reached whitebox, greybox or LOD0. It is unofficial and derived from what CIG have shown publicly, so treat it as a best reading of the evidence rather than a release date.

Are these Star Citizen tools free?

Yes. Every tool on this page runs in a browser with no download, and the ones built here need no account or sign up. Some community tools accept donations from people who want to help with their running costs, but none of them charge for access.

Do these tools work with the live game?

The tools built here are rebuilt from the live game files after every patch, so expect a short gap while that happens. Community tools update on their own schedules, so if a number looks wrong, check which version that tool says it is built against before trusting it.

What is RMC in Star Citizen?

Recycled Material Composite, and it is what salvaging actually pays out. You strip a hull’s outer layer with a salvage beam, it fills your cargo hold as RMC, and you sell it at a Trade and Development Division terminal or a refinery. Construction Materials come from breaking the structure down afterwards and are worth less per unit. The Salvage Material Finder lists what each wreck yields of both, so you can tell a worthwhile hull from a long flight for nothing.

Where does Star Citizen store your keybinds?

In your install folder, under USER\Client\0\Controls\Mappings, as an XML file per layout. The game writes it out when you close the settings menu, and you load one back by typing pp_rebindkeys followed by the layout name into the console. If you are not sure where the game is installed, open the launcher, pick your game environment, click the gear beside it and choose Show in Explorer. The Keybind Builder exports a file in exactly that format.

When will a Star Citizen ship be released?

CIG do not commit to ship release dates, and the roadmap they publish covers their release schedule rather than the state of any individual ship. What you can read is how far a ship has moved through the art pipeline: whitebox, then greybox, then LOD0. The Ship Development Pipeline tracks that for every ship in progress, which is the closest thing to an honest answer. A ship still in whitebox is not close.
