The rarest materials, and where they actually are

Savrilium peaks at 66.7% in rocks at Breaker Stations Large Geode (Nyx), Quantainium peaks at 1.7% in rocks at Clio (Stanton), Stileron peaks at 1.6% in rocks at Akiro Cluster (Pyro). Legendary signatures are the ones worth breaking a run for, and they are concentrated in very few places rather than spread thinly everywhere.

Two materials are single site only, and no amount of looking elsewhere will turn them up. Saldynium exists at the Hathor Caves in Stanton and nowhere else, hand mined at 15.8%. Sadaryx exists inside the Breaker Stations in Nyx and nowhere else, hand mined at 25%. Both are hand mining only, so neither can be reached with a ship or a ROC.

Breaker Stations Interior, Breaker Stations Large Geode, Glaciem Ring, Keeger Belt. Worth the trip for Bexalite, Borase, Gold, Lindinium, Savrilium, and Sadaryx inside the Breaker Stations.

Ship mining, ROC mining and hand mining

The same rock does not appear to all three. Of the 46 locations, 46 support ship mining, 25 support a ROC and 24 support hand mining, and the material mix differs by method at the same place. That is why a location that looks poor from the cockpit can be the best hand mining site in the system: Aphorite peaks at 61.1% and Dolivine at 36.9% on foot at Pyro III (Bloom), and neither shows up on a ship scan there.

Reading RS signatures

Every material has a radar signature value, and the tool decodes a raw HUD reading into the material tier before you commit to fracturing. Signatures are recorded per method, which is why the same ore reads differently from a ship and from a ROC. 52 signature entries across 33 materials are loaded.

What is the best mining ship in Star Citizen 4.10?

The MISC Prospector is the best solo mining ship and the easiest entry point. The Argo MOLE is the multi-crew option and pays off once you have people to run the extra heads. For ground work the ROC covers 25 of the 46 locations in the game, and 24 locations can be worked by hand with no vehicle at all. Mining rewards patience over reflexes. Sessions run long, the flying is slow and deliberate, and most of the work is reading a scan and holding a beam steady, so comfort matters more here than raw stick precision. Where do you find Quantainium in Star Citizen?

Quantainium peaks at 1.7% of rocks at Clio in Stanton, which is the highest concentration anywhere in the game. It is a Legendary signature, so it is rare by design and worth a dedicated run rather than a detour.

Where do I find Saldynium?

Saldynium comes from one place only: the Hathor Caves in Stanton, hand mined at 15.8%. It appears in no other location in the 4.10 dataset and there is no ship or vehicle route to it, so no amount of rock breaking elsewhere will produce any. The same cave run also pays Aphorite at 30.2%, Jaclium at 19.5%, Dolivine at 18.3% and Carinite at 11.6%, which is what makes the trip worth taking.

Where do you find Hadanite in Star Citizen?

Hadanite is hand mined, not ship mined. It peaks at 6.0% at Pyro I in Pyro. If you are scanning for it from a cockpit you will not see it, which is the single most common reason people conclude it is not in the game.
